尊敬的各位研究生导师：
为做好疫情防控工作，按照学校部署要求，研究生院第一时间向各培养单位发布了《南方科技大学研究生院关于调整2019-2020学年度春季学期开学时间后相关工作的通知》，现就重点事项提示如下：
一、延迟返校工作。根据学校统一要求，研究生暂定返校时间为2月24-25日，2月26日开学，全体研究生不得提前返校。返校前各位导师不得以课题实验、毕业论文等原因安排研究生离家返校和外出调研。
二、网络授课安排。按照“返校延迟、教学不延迟”的统一安排，研究生将于2月17日开始网上上课，请各位导师根据《南方科技大学2020年春季学期网上授课通知》做好准备。
三、招生复试工作。硕士研究生统考成绩公布、复试、录取等研究生招生工作将按照上级教育主管部门的要求进行；博士研究生第二次招生（含哈工大联合培养）预计在3-5月份进行；境外联培招生工作按照原计划进行；留学生招生院系考核推荐截止时间将结合疫情防控情况适当后延。
四、境外学术交流工作。疫情防控期间，原则上所有研究生派出安排将被推迟或取消。2020年度春季学期研究生国际交流项目、博士短期访学项目、境外留学生来访项目、创新实践基金项目申报工作也将视疫情情况推迟开展。
五、毕业及学位授予工作。各位导师应在学生不在校期间给予远程指导和帮助，尤其是春季学期将要毕业学生的学位论文指导。原则上，研究生学位论文查重、送审等工作环节可通过网络正常进行，研究生院将视情况安排学位论文答辩、学位评定委员会召开等工作。
疫情当前，请各位导师按照国家要求做好自身防护，同时请密切关注研究生的学业及生活状态。期间如有导师或研究生的疫情事项，请第一时间向所在院系报告并抄报研究生院。也请各位导师密切关注研究生院通过邮件、网站、微信公众号发布的各项通知。

Dear graduate supervisors:
As part of the University-wide efforts to prevent and contain the epidemic, the Graduate School has adjusted the new semester arrangements and announced the Notice on Arrangement of Graduate School in 2019-2020 Spring Semester to all academic units in a timely manner. Highlights of the Notice are listed below for your attention.
1. Returning to campus is postponed
Following the University’s requirement, the tentative dates for graduate students to return to campus are February 24 - 25, while classes begin on February 26. Please note that no early return is allowed. Supervisors must not ask students to return to campus in advance or to work at other locations other than home in any excuse or in any form.
2. Online teaching
According to the University arrangements, lectures will be delivered online before students return. Graduate online classes begin on February 17. Please follow the Notice of SUSTech 2020 Spring Semester Teaching Arrangement to make your teaching preparation.
3. Graduate Admission
The master’s admission affairs, including announcing the results of master’s admission examinations, the second admission interview of master’s programs, and final enrollment, will follow the requirements of the education authorities. The second-round admission of doctoral programs (including the SUSTech-HIT joint PhD programs) is expected to be held from March to May 2020. The admission of collaborative doctoral programs between SUSTech and overseas universities follows the original schedule. The deadline for department-level admission assessment for international applicants will be postponed given the progress of epidemic containment.
4. Academic exchange abroad
In principle, all graduate dispatch programs are postponed or canceled during the epidemic prevention and containment period. The program of graduate exchange, short-term academic visits for PhD students, innovative projects are postponed in view of the situation.
5. Graduation and degree awarding
Supervisors should provide remote instructions to students, especially to those expected to graduate in the spring semester. In principle, graduation-related procedures like plagiarism checks of thesis and thesis assessment can be done online. The Graduate School will arrange thesis defenses and meetings of academic-degree evaluation committee in view of the situation.
Amid the epidemic outbreak, supervisors are advised to enhance self-protection and pay close attention to the physical and mental well-being of graduate students. If any supervisor or graduate student has been infected by the novel coronavirus, the cases should be reported to the departments of the infected people and the Graduate School immediately. Please also stay informed by checking Graduate School notices announced via emails, websites, and the WeChat platform.
