【学位】关于2020年春季学期研究生学位申请与答辩工作的通知

 

 

 各研究生培养单位：

为做好新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情防控，根据教育部《关于做好2020年上半年毕业研究生学位授予相关工作的通知》精神，结合我校2020年春季学期开学时间推迟实际情况，现对2020年春季学期哈工大联培研究生学位申请工作做如下通知：

 

一、基本原则

在保证学位授予质量前提下，有序开展本学期学位申请相关工作，努力保障符合条件的研究生按时获得学位。

 

二、学位申请流程及时间节点

    （一）硕士研究生

  1. 1. 5月中旬前：由各院系根据学科特点和学生论文进展情况合理、高效安排资格审查、查重、论文送审
  2. 2. 5月末前：南科大培养单位完成论文答辩（视疫情防控情决定是否视频答辩）
  3. 3. 6月上旬：南科大培养单位学位分会审议
  4. 4. 6月18日：南科大校学位会审议（校历时间）
  5. 5. 7月上旬：哈工大校学位会审议

   （二）博士研究生

  • 1. 4月15日：学位论文提交哈工大送审
  • 2. 5月末前：南科大培养单位组织答辩（视疫情防控情决定是否视频答辩）
  • 3. 6月上旬：南科大培养单位学位分会审议
  • 4. 6月18日：南科大校学位会审议（校历时间）
  • 5. 6月下旬：哈工大学科学位分会审议
  • 6. 7月上旬：哈工大校学位会审议

三、工作要求

  1. 1. 各研究生培养单位务必高度重视疫情防控形势下的学位申请、授予工作，制定本单位具体工作方案。
  2. 2. 研究生导师要切实履行研究生培养第一责任人的责任，进一步强化学位论文指导工作。

四、其他

  1. 1. 对受疫情防控影响无法按期完成学位申请的哈工大联培研究生，学校将根据哈工大10月份的学位会安排，于9月中旬增开一次学位评定委员会会议审议其学位授予，届时将发布具体通知。
  2. 2. 北大联培及境外其他联培项目毕业生的学位授予程序按照学位授予单位的要求进行。

 

各培养单位在工作中如遇到问题，请及时与研究生院学位办沟通联系。

To all academic units with graduate programs,

 

In view of the evolving COVID-19 situation and the rescheduling of the 2020 Spring Semester start dates, to comply with the "Notice on Conferring of Degree for Graduate Students in the First Half of 2020" of the Ministry of Education, the degree application of the graduate students under the joint training program with Harbin Institute of Technology in the spring semester 2020 is now scheduled as below:

 

1. Principle

Carry out degree application of the semester in an orderly manner and ensure qualified graduate students to receive degree certificates on time under the premise of guaranteeing the education quality.

 

2. Degree Application Process and Timetable

  1. (I) Master Degree Candidates
  2. a. Before mid-May: Each academic unit should complete qualification review, plagiarism check, and dissertation review reasonably and efficiently according to the characteristics of the subject and the progress of the student's dissertation.
  3. b. Before end of May: Completion of dissertation defense by academic units of SUSTech (if to be held in the way of video conference depends on the evolving COVID-19 situation)
  4. c. Early June: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Sub-Committee of the academic unit at SUSTech
  5. d. 18 June: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of SUSTech (according to the university calendar)
  6. e. Early July: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Harbin Institute of Technology

(II)Doctoral Degree Candidates

  1. a. 15 April: Dissertation submitted to Harbin Institute of Technology for review
  2. b. Before end of May: Completion of dissertation defense by academic units of SUSTech (if to be held in the way of video conference depends on the evolving COVID-19 situation)
  3. c. Early June: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Sub-Committee of the academic unit at SUSTech
  4. d. 18 June: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of SUSTech (according to the university calendar)
  5. e. Late June: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Sub-Committee of the subject at Harbin Institute of Technology
  6. e. Early July: Review by the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee of Harbin Institute of Technology

3. Work Requirements

  1. a. Each academic unit should attach great importance to degree application and conferring against the backdrop of COVID-19 prevention and control, and formulate specific work plans;
  2. b. Graduate supervisors should fulfill the responsibility as the first person responsible for graduate education and provide guidance and comments on students’ dissertations.

 

4. Other matters

  1. a. For graduate students under the joint training program with Harbin Institute of Technology who are unable to complete their degree applications on time due to the impact of COVID-19 prevention and control, the university will consider an additional  meeting of the Academic Degree Evaluation Committee in September to review degree applications given the situation of COVID-19 prevention and control. Specific notice will be issued in due course.
  2. b. The degree-awarding procedures for graduates under the joint training programs with Peking University and other partner universities are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the degree-awarding institutions.
